0890387451 - "Telstra" calling. Foreign accented woman. Says "Your internet service has been hacked. I will connect you to the support team" I kept the phone on the table and went for a stroll.
private number call from Telstra Technical Dept. Indian accent. I have had issues with my net first asked if my net is running ok to which I replied its running ok now, then he asked if I was the main user I said Yes (damn) then he hung up.
Said it's Telstra an they need to remove a Virus from my computer since it's sending all my data out on the broadband. Wanted me to let the caller access my computer from remote!!! Told him to send an email to my mail id which is with Telstra. He said fine but haven't heard back even after 2 days!!!!
It’s illegal to send unsolicited commercial email messages to wireless devices. The messages may promise free gifts or cheap services. Scam artists posing as Govt agencies could send messages threatening action unless money is paid. Spam texts can contain phishing links designed to steal personal info or may infect user's phone.
