5853600258 - IRS scam phone number. Threatened to have me arrested by the law enforcement
VM asking to call 9153088269 to prevent serving of arrest warrant within 24 hours. Apparently I have miscalculated taxes and there is a demand of US$4345. The nasty Asian man who answered wanted me to purchase p EFTPS vouchers. he explained that's Electronic Federal Tax Payment System Vouchers. I need to go to a nearby store and wait for instructions! I know IRS does not make such calls. Nor are there any vouchers named ETFS. What these assholes would want potential victims to do is to buy pre-loaded cash cards like GreenDot Moneypak or iTunes gift cards and share info with them!!
They want you to call 8183091961 to sort out a tax matter. SCAM! You can't "sort out" tax matters over phone. You either walk in to the IRS office or respond to their letter
Called me from 1-810-522-8419 and left a scary message demanding a call back within 24 hours or the IRS will proceed to seize my assets and freeze my bank account.
Got a call from 888-773-8434 saying the caller (Marcus Brown??) saying is in the process of obtaining arrest warrants for money owed to the IRS! Absolute trash! IRS would not call and threaten tax payers like this!
The IRS will never call anyone ‘out of the blue’ and ask to pay. IRS will send notices through regular mail. The IRS will always send written notice through the U.S. postal system of any taxes due, and will never ask for credit, debit or prepaid card details by any form of communication
It’s illegal to send unsolicited commercial email messages to wireless devices. The messages may promise free gifts or cheap services.
